values better than anyone. As Wine.com’s Founder and Vice President of Merchandising, Mike oversees the company's

Michael Osborn - Founder & VP Merchandising
Favorite wine region: Pacific Northwest - from Oregon Pinot Noir to Walla Walla Merlot - it's in my blood.
Best wine memory: I have so many fond memories from touring wine regions, to everyday occasions with wine. To pick one, I guess it would have to be recent. Last Fall, I toured the Rhone Valley. During one afternoon, the Perrin Family of Chateau de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf du Pape hosted me and friends traveling from Washington, D.C., New York and Tallahassee, Florida. Learning of their passion, for decades, for organic farming underscored the adage that "healthy wine starts with healthy vines."
My favorite club to give: I favor Wines of the World for the variety of wines. |

Favorite wine region: Italy. There is so much diversity within Italy and the wines get better every year. Wine is made all over the country and there is truly something for everyone. Outside of wine and food, it’s also a beautiful country to visit!
Best wine memory: My first visit to any wine country was Tuscany. I had the chance to hand pick grapes, watch them being crushed, meet the family who owned the winery and enjoy an unforgettable lunch on the property overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. After that day, I knew wine would forever be a big part of my life.
My favorite club to give: Wines of the World. You get to taste wines from all of the major wine regions and learn about that area. I know how intimidating it can be when you are in a wine shop wanting to try new regions but you don't know any of the wineries. Well, this club picks the best for you. It’s a fun, easy way to try to new wines that are winners from each region. |

Wendy Stanford - Product Manager
Favorite wine region: Alsace is at the top of my list these days for white wines. Steely, acidic, dry, but well rounded. Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc are my favorite dinner whites. As for reds, I’ve been drinking lots of Oregon Pinot Noir these days.
Best wine memory: I visited Clos Apalta winery in Chile and was lucky enough to taste through several vintages with the winemaker. She took us on a tour of the beautiful facility and then we went horse back riding through the vineyard. Amazing!
My favorite club to give: 90 Point Rated. These wines are chosen with great care and are of extremely high quality. These are often wines not readily available in many areas, so it's a great opportunity to expand your palate and learn about amazing wines from all over the world. |
