Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
A unique nose with a dominant dried herb character and other savory nuances. The palate
expresses ripe red cherries and layers of coffee, dark chocolate and nicely integrated oak.
The Cinsault component is harmonious and provides lift, softness, fine minerality and
bright acidity. The chalky fruit tannins are prominent and vibrant as typical for Sagrantino.
"Ruby-red. Smoky red and dark berry aromas, with gentle cured meat and floral accents.
Juicy cherry and cassis flavors are framed by pliant tannins, becoming sweeter with air and finishing
with good dusty grip and focus. I like the balance of this gently structured midweight."
