You know when you open a bottle of wine you have never tried and you pour it into the glass, that first taste is always a surprise, no matter what the expectation? Well, this was a nice surprise. A very enjoyable wine!
I have been trying a lot of Spanish wines lately. I didn't care for this one. I generally like the earthiness of Old World wines, but this one seemed to taste more like dirt than earth.
I am glad to see Juan Gill back, I liked the 2006 and the 2007 is very nice as well. I think it is a good deal price-to-quality.
This was an OK wine. To me, I don't feel it is a 91 nor worth the price. It wasn't bad, just not the level I expected from the review and price.
I am kind of surprised this is a 90+ wine. I thought to myself, hmmm...this is a great deal at around $10/bottle. Should have known. It's OK...it's just $10...but it's not a 90+ wine.
