Smells absolutely fabulous with a fantastically strong bouquet of dark fruit.
What a steal. Great mineral and berry bouquet. Complex and delicious.
Smooth & Supple
The barbaresco has such an interesting aroma, floral but almost tarry at the same time. Beware, this cuvee is still very tannic; it benefits a lot from aeration. Some aeration brings out the pointed acidity in the wine and opens up the bouquet a whole a lot more. Light to medium body.
This wine really needed some aeration to coax out the bouquet. When I first opened the bottle, I was disappointed because it was very closed. However, it's been a day and half since I opened the bottle and the aromas and taste are much improved. The bouquet is fruit-forward mingled with scents of warm spices.
Big & Bold
I like wines with a delicious bouquet and this cuvee definitely has it! Really juicy bouquet of something creamy and sweet (brown sugar, maybe?) with a bit of smoke and cherries. It has the usual dark fruit taste with tannins that can't be quite described as velvety but still not at all harsh. The finish has something a little earthy in it like forest loam. As usual for Cabernets, it is full-bodied and dry.
This is a really excellent Torrontes. It is medium bodied with all the intensely floral bouquet and ripe fruit of the varietal. Interestingly, the bottle holds just a hint of carbonation and when freshly opened the wine will tingle pleasantly on the tip of your tongue. Ends with a lovely, crisp acidity.
Light-bodied, dry, and acidic. Bouquet is floral with red fruits and the tannins are soft. I like the mouth-watering acidity.
