It was just ok. This is May 08 and it probably needed a year or two. Strong berry and currant, hint of cedar.
This was a great surprise, worthy of any engagement celebration, anytime, anywhere.
I like this chardonnay. Some have described it as oak, oak, oak. Yes the oak is there but not overly so. This is the classic California style chardonnay and a great example of it. Hints of pear, and peach with a note of lemon. sweet and buttery and with a very satisfying finish. A step up from a grocery store chardonnay at similar prices.
Nice golden color, creme y, balanced, fruity with pear, melon, also vanilla. overall very good chard for price point
This 2005 Domaine Faiveley Cote de Beaune Villages was just ok, not great by any means ... in other words skip it. I had a very good 2005 Pierre Morey, Bourgogne Pinot Noira few days before for about the same price. The Morey 2005 is the right example of great wine at bargin prices.
