This is a very big and bold wine. Bigger and bolder than any merlot I had. Make sure to decant or use an aerator. I couldn' wait so I ran it through the aerator like 4 times. This was the first wine I tried but absolutely felt necessary.
Very light for zinfandel and quick to finish. One of very few zinfandels rated 90 or higher that I didn't enjoy.
This is relatively easy to drink with big flavors. A bit on the sweet side but nothing over the hill. Key to good tasting is to let the wine breath. Let it breathe at least 30 minutes after decanting or just use one of the aerators if you can't finish the whole bottle. This is one of the wine that improves alot when decanted.
I paid about $ 19 and I regret not buying in. Better servered right out of the bottle if you prefer crisp juicy wine with medium acitity. Acidity goes down with decanting and I like it better right out of the bottle. Plenty juicy with some tannings.
Louis Martinin Cab is becoming one of my favorite budget wine. It is stated Big&Bold but to me it is a bit on the soft side of Cab. Decanting or aerating is a must. Not too sweet, not too dry with plenty of punch.
