Big & Bold
Can't beat this for the price. Liked the first bottle so well that I had to order 3 more. And, not sure why but I like the 2010 just a bit more than the 2009. Either one is great with red sauce, steak (rare, of course)bbq, or just by itself
Very smooth and very drinkable. I'd recommend this one, especially for the price.
Served this at a party the other night and a couple of my "wine snob" friends that don't drink low price (cheap) wines were astounded when I showed them the bottle and price. They thought it was probably in the 40-50 dollar range. Looks like I'll be ordering more of this. Update, I did order more. Very drinkable for people of all tastes. Great value for the price. This one will convince your friends that they don't have to spend $60-$70 for an good wine.
okay after pouring through the aerator
Earth & Spicy
Served this with a good hot Texas red chili. Paired very well with it.
Wish I could do half stars, I'd give this a 3.5 rating but seeing as how I can't, I'll err on the plus side and give it a 4. This is a wine that needs to be served with a traditional Spanish meal such as grilled pork cutlets, red bean chorizo bacon stew or pork in a rich tomato sauce. Maybe even with tapas. Don't drink it by its self.
One of our "go to" wines when I do braised beef shanks in the pressure cooker. We can usually fine it cheaper at our local wine dealer but he seems to be out lately so for 10.00 a bottle, what the heck. Goes great with beef.
Don't think I would rate it as high as WE but personally would give it a good solid 93. (if we all agreed on ratings, life would be boring)Really enjoyed this bottle with a very rare, lightly seasoned, grilled rib eye with roasted vegetables on the side.
Excellent for the price. Smooth and easy to drink.
