A lovely Spanish red. Nothing to write home about, but well worth its price. I had a bunch of girlfriends over and we drank it with homemade, funky sushi (sushi with Hebrew National franks, mustard, relish, other rolls with goat cheese, caramelized onions, and roasted sweet potatoes, etc...) The wine rounded out the food nicely.
grilled red meat, pizza with goaty cheese, artisan pizza
Earth & Spicy
tortilla espanola, crispy barbecued pork head
The label describes this wine as "honest," and I couldn't think of a better adjective. Everything to love about tempranillos shines in this wine, and the "lagrimitas" it produces in the glass are beautiful as well.
