Nice Pinots are coming out of Aussie and NZ! We have been drinking a lot of wine from Sticks. The winemaker does a great job of highlighting the fruit in each varietal. This Pinot is a fine example of the "no frills" approach.
Gorgeous Color, Intense nose, Wildflowers, Honey, Melon. Great mouthfeel with a pleasant, lingering finish. Califorinia Chardonnay at it's best! You can taste the fruit, not a mouthfull of OAK.
The review title says it all. This is a crisp, acidic, citrus filled SB from Napa, where not much Sauvignon Blanc is made. We bought this out of curiosity. Not even close to St Supery, which is king of California Sauv Blanc! If you're looking "bang for the buck" buy Oregon on New Zealand.
A beautifully colored, dusky Pinot. It has great character, perhaps from the "whole cluster" approach (?)
I am a big fan of Hewitson wine. They are always bold, with loads of fruit. It's hard to find a better Shiraz for the money.
Pretty, Ruby Red wine with a big nose out of the bottle. A lot of berry fruit on the palate. Both the aroma and flavor faded fast, right in the glass! Maybe it's meant to be chugged right out of the bottle?
Very BIG wine. Really a mouthful. Opens up and smooths out after time in the glass. Strongly suggest decanting
