Big & Bold
At seven years of age, it's still a baby and needs further cellaring. I've tasted other Barolos that were as impressive at more attractive prices. Nevertheless, an excellent and stylish wine.
Light & Crisp
Unmistakable Barbera style with high acid and low tannin. Pairs well with acidic foods, particularly tomato-based pasta sauces. Not a particularly distinguished example of Italian Barbera, but decent and affordable. I think the WS88 rating is about right.
Very ordinary Chianti, obviously high-production. Initial aromatics quickly dissipate, leaving little to excite the palate. Better Italian wines can be found at half the price.
Poor aromatics, fairly mono dimensional. Would not recommend.
One of our better domestic Chenins and an excellent value. I re-ordered a half case.
Disappointing, considering the RP rating. Mid-grade Cru Beaujolais. Nice, but nothing special.
Amazing value. Rich, full, fruity Grenache.
Nice but not exceptional. Dry.
Very nice New World style Chardonnay. Good value.
