A gift for Zin-fans: ZINFANDELIC pays tribute to the quintessential California wine, Zinfandel. The label and tote artwork capture the rock posters from California's cultural movement of the 1960s. ...
I was going to buy some of the wine, then I saw this combo pack. What a great idea! I've always wanted one of these carriers anyway and the graphics look great.
Brass Tacks Central Coast Merlot - I tasted juicy cherry and black plum balanced with good acid and some spicy vanilla notes mixed in. Enough tannins to give a lingering finish. Nicely built wine. Good with red-friendly grilled meats or pasta.
Had this wine with grilled tri-tip. Lush fruit and integrated tannins held up well to the rich flavor of the steak. Liked the acid and touch of wood in the finish which balanced perfectly to the up-front fruit.
Just had this new vintage - as good as the 2007 which received Editors Choice selection from Wine Enthusiast - 90 pts. Love the balance of good acidity matched against fresh orchard fruits. Really outstanding as aperitif and our go-to wine when we eat homemade sushi rolls. Glad this came back into stock!
A very nice drinking zin. This wine has good fruit without being jammy and nice tannins that are not overpowering but still a long finish. I haven’t really found a zin with finesse like this before since mostly they tend to be fruit bombs. So I really enjoyed this wine. It has a wide food pairing potential more like a Merlot or Pinot.
Great nose like a fruit orchard: pear, peach, and honeysuckle. Good acidity to balance all that fruit. Nice mouthfeel. In all, a delicious wine that I enjoyed as an aperitif but would drink again with Asian food.
This is an exceptional chardonnay in a very Burgundian style: lots of stone and mineral notes, restrained but ripe fruit, light touch of oak, and long, long finish. Beautiful and balanced; smooth and elegant.
Lush fruit matched with peppery notes and a lengthy finish make this a complex and satisfying syrah. Plenty of ripe cherry and black plum flavors and more spice on the finish. Very nice wine.
Lots of ripe fruit with just enough wood to make for a decent finish. Excellent with grilled salmon! More like a $30-$40 wine. Great value for money.

This is my favorite Cotes du Rhone paired with a nice Bordeaux and fine Burgundy. So many of my friends just drink American wines, this set is an opportunity to learn and explore.
