For a $16 bottle of wine, this is pretty much a steal, as it is tasty and pleasurable to drink. Aia Vecchia Lagone has a sweet smell that invites you in, and compels you to take a sip. It’s dark and rich in color, yet soft and subtle in taste. It offers the drinker much diversity and flavor, but does so in a mild mannered way. The finish is long lasting and mouth watering and will have you wanting to take another sip. Coming back on the site a week after I ordered Lagone, I found the vintage had sold out. I can see why as it is succulent and refreshing. However, had I known, I would have ordered more bottles. If you can find this wine elsewhere, don’t hesitate to buy it, it’s a great catch and its wallet friendly.
