As a Napa Valley Cab, I was expecting more out of this bottle than it could deliver. It has beautiful coloration and a lively nose, but the flavor seemed muted a bit. It reminded me more of an old world wine. Nevertheless, it is a solid pick!
Beautiful ruby coloration with a very lively, inviting aroma with black cherry perhaps. The aroma cannot be overstated on this one - it is very nice. This is a joy from the instant it hits the tongue, and it seems to be well balanced and smooth -- I agree with another reviewer's "clean & crisp" comment, which is not to be mistaken for "simple." It's wonderful!
I don't do white wine, so trying this one was like stepping into the unknown. Having said that, I found this to have a pleasant taste. It was fresh with only a hint of early sweetness. Nothing seemingly bad about it. Solid.
I held onto this bottle for a few years, hoping it would impress me when I finally got around to trying it. Unfortunately, it let me down. Maybe it wasn't aged long enough. A seemingly standard zin. Nothing too impressive.
This cabernet hits all the right notes. Nose, body, flavor, complexity. It's all there. Nothing extraordinary here, but certainly not sub-par. Nicely done and what you expect from a California cab.
A nice cabernet. Not overly fruity. Cherry, smoke, and coffee. Well balanced.
I believe this is the first Argentinian wine I've had, and I am quite pleased. It's different from the California cabs I've had before but in a good and unique way. An expressive wine with a fruity yet earthy nose (perhaps the tobacco from the description?), a full and interesting taste, and a smooth and soft mouthfeel. I'm not an expert, but given the seemingly strong tannic structure, it could probably benefit from some aging.
This cabernet has a noticeably sweet and fruity aroma, though, it is soft and not particularly fruity in flavor. Rather, it comes across as spicy and smoky. While some cabernets can stand well on their own, I believe this one should be paired with food unless you only plan on having one glass. Not bad -- a decent cabernet to bring to dinner.
This cab is nothing to write home about, standing on its own. It came across as a little dull and with an unexciting flavor profile. That said, it's bold and solid enough to pair well with a juicy prime rib, medium rare. ;-)
Nice presentation -- the bottle design is delightfully unique. Fantastic ruby coloration. Sweet and lively fruity nose. Smooth and enjoyable flavor of berries balanced by earthy notes. And at this price, a great value.
