Great zin for the price! Michael and David make fantastic wines and if you enjoy this try the Earthquake Zin from them, it is one of my favs... You can drink this anytime with nothing if you prefer, jammy, spicy, not too peppery, and great fruit forward wine.
Good New Zealaand Sav Blanc, the winemakers notes are pretty much right on, you can expect that wen you taste it. I put it on my wine list and personally for the price I would buy Kim Crawford (and KC sells better, a little cheaper) but all in all a good purchase.
Provenance hit it good here. I tried this at the estate when it was first bottled and I was pleasantly surprised, you ge a tremendous amount of tropical fruit, and peach flavors. Just a hint of vanilla, but truly a delictable California Sav Blanc.
Not much to say here, a true example of an Alsace riesling, low residual sugar, nice clean crisp fruit, apple, citrus, and some minerality. Good every time.
The reason this get 4 stars is the value. For $10 a bottle it is my favorite red under $10. When I want to not think about wine but simply sit and enjoy a bottle I buy this. Jammy, mouthfilling, and not tannic.
The reason it gets 4 stars is the fruit for the $. When I am in the mood to not think about wine but just simply sit and enjoy I buy this. It is jammy, mouthfilling, not very tannic and overall just a good blend, especially for the price.
Boony doon did it again, this Syrah needs time to open up to get the full flavors but it is very earthy and has plenty of fruit. Good licorice, smoky, mineral, nose and goes down easy no the palate. If you like a meduim bodied syrah I like this one.
