Light & Crisp
I disagree w/debpar as well. This is a classic flavor profile of an old world chenin/vouvray. It does have a bit more minerality to it than even I'm used to, suggesting dry famred calcerous clay or limestone terroir. Not necessarily the 92 Parker gives it, but definitely in the 89-90 range for me. Paired very well w/shrimp scampi.
Smooth & Supple
Delivers way above it's price point. It drinks like a $45-60 CdP. Great QPR. A bit more new world in style, but just enough traditional CdR characteristics to stay true to the classification. Grenache gives this more of a juicy component, garrigue and earth notes keep it grounded, and enough acidity and tannin to keep it from being a fruit-bomb. Simple and easy to drink. Not overly complex, but very nice. Something to drink every day. Buy a case.
Solid WA Cab with tradiational flavors of dark fruits, pencil lead, cassis, and oak. Everything seems to be in proper balance, short finish. May improve over the next year in the bottle.
