I tried this cab based on a friend's recommendation who regularly visits the vinyard. Its the best "tip" I've been given in a very long time. An amazing wine: tight, complex structure yet subtle, great finish and elegant.
I was excited to try this zinfadel. Zin is usually a nice standby and its difficult to go wrong. Despite other reviews, I did not enjoy it. The initial tasting was fine. It was rather bold, but the finish was not so great and I think the tanins were off. It left me with a "cheap wine" headache. The label is groovy, but its trip isn't.
I received this as an adventure club offering and was extremely surprised. It was silky with smooth tanins; well balanced with a very nice finish; simply delicious.
