This is good Pinot but we discovered we are not Pinot drinkers, prefer syrah / shiraz. This , howerver is the best Pinot I have ever tasted, better than some $30 Pinot's here in Oregon. Nice nose, great light color but not our cup of tea (wine).
We bought 17 Wines from wine.com rated 90+, have drank about 8 of them, and this is the best, and unbelievably the least costly. (Please don't raise price based on my comment) One of the best wines I have ever tasted, and my wife agrees. Will continue to buy more.
This is a smooth wine at a bargain price, not a 5, not really a 90+ but a good wine
We like Malbec but just found this wine OK. Not like other 90+ Malbec's we have tasted.
Just ordinary, kind of like a house wine at a bar, not impressive.
Light, watery, and acidic... have not really found any pinot that I love, maybe because my favorites are malbec, merlot, and cab in that order. This pinot was not as good as many bar house merlot's. Have other Pinot's to try and like the free shipping for $49 per year, great deal. This was my first bottle out of 17 I ordered so onward and upward.
A perfect Shiraz, have ordered more to compare with the case of d'Arenberg Stump Jump Shiraz that we have coming with the same order. We really like the $49 free shipping for a year option, it keeps us coming back to wine.com rather than going to Grocery outlet. We have moved up a notch and are getting better , more predictable wines thanks to the ratings and the reviews by customers. Hope this review helps, you will not be disappointed if you like this varietal and also Merlot, very similar, very smooth, and our type of wine. I guess everyone has different palet and ours likes smooth wines that are not acidic or with heavy tannins.
The 90+ Syrah's and Shiraz from wine.com tend to be outstanding, maybe just our taste buds. Love the Wine.com program that gives us free shipping for $49 per year, outstanding!! We were buying our wines at Grocery Outlet and rolling the dice to find a good wine, actually saving money here because of the ratings. We are currently testing 17 different wines that are 90+ and have found 3 outstanding ones so far out of about 9 wines. This is one of them
This is a very smooth wine, be sure to decant all your red wines , we use a device that instantly decants and aeriates the wine. I think shiraz is one of our favorites because it is smooth and no lasting acidic tanins. Similar to merlots that we like.
A little too acidic for our taste, we are Merlot and Syrah drinkers so that probably explains it.
