Lighter fare. Pasta
A good wine...but not a 93 pt selection IMHO. Light to medium body with a touch of oak on the finish. The wine has a gorgeous garnet color and is beautiful in the glass. But the standout color did not translate into the the nose or palate. Overall a good wine that I would recommend and drink again....but it's not outstanding as it's score suggests. Cheers!
Big & Bold
I would give this wonderful wine 3 1/2 Stars! It's a big, bold, and great wine of substance for such a reasonable price. Big black fruits interlaced with molasses, mocha, and a touch of smoke! This wine is a steal for this price! It's fun and goes with just about any hearty meat dish! Cheers!
Smooth & Supple
Beef > Herbs
Another outstanding vintage from our friends at Northstar. I've never had a bad vintage of their wines. The 2010 stands out as exceptional. Licorice and Mocha on the palate with smooth supple tannins and a strong finish of smoke and fruit, Love this wine...it beats many Cabernets in terms of structure and substance.
Smooth & Supple
Simply put. The most beautiful wine I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. Soft and supple with a wonderful nose and a finish that goes on forever. Yet at the same time it has fantastic structure and balanced tanins. The best Napa Cabernet that I have ever had! Cheers!
simply put...One of the best Merlots I've ever had. A great price and a considerable amount of smoothness and structure. lots of complexity on the palate during the first sip! Cheers!
One of the best if not the best Merlots that I have had the pleasure of tasting. I have never experienced an explosion on the palate by a Merlot like this one. Wonderfully balanced, complex, and smooth best describes the Merlot. Highly recommended for a good price! A+!
Balanced, silky, smooth, and fruit forward. Just a wonderful Merlot! Worth the price!
After years of trying the Merlot grape across varying price ranges.....The Raymond Reserve Merlot drinks smoother than most more expensive wines in it's class. Smooth, balanced, and a great mixture of fruit and complexity! You cannot beat this Merlot for the price! I've had a $60 bottle of Cakebread Merlot, and this beats it hands down. Wonderful wine! Enjoy!
