Don't be put off by my 4 stars, I'm not sure there is a perfect wine out there, but if I could have given the trio 4 1/2, I would have. The reviews, with which I don't always agree, really "hit the nail on the head" with this set.
Not quite as fruity and a little stronger in tannin than most Syrahs, but very nice, especially for the price. Nice clean finish.
Wonderful fruit bouquet, smooth with mild tannins. I've had quite a few different Syrah and Shiraz and was pleased with this bottle above all others. I have ordered it twice now and will again until stock runs out.
Very drinkable table wine. Tangy fruit and lower in tannin than Cabernet.
Deeply rich, balanced fruits such as mulberry. Very smooth.
Light, fruity, citrusy, wonderful
Pleasantly light, nice fruit, not too dry. I was pleasantly surprised, as I'm not a white wine drinker normally. They are usually either too sweet or too sour for my taste. And I've not liked other recommended grigios either, but this was definitely a reorder!
Fruity but bitter, so needs to be served cold.
Excellent. A tiny bit more tangy than Teruzzi & Puthod's Gimignano, but very pleasurable.
This was one of those wines that you could sample at a tasting, like, purchase, bring home and discover that (like mall food) that it was better left as a sample. After the bottle was allowed to breathe, it had a nice blend of fruit and was very slightly dry. By the end of the first glass though, sharp tannins became more noticeable and undesirable, which carried through the entire second glass. (We share a bottle around here, so two glasses each, and both consumers found the same result.)
