Big explosion of fruit and berry, giving way to medium-full tannins, finished with strong spice and wood tones. The spice was overpowering to me, blocking out the fruit taste almost immediately. Seemed more alcoholic than it was. It was more overpowering than other Shiraz I have had. Did not like, will not buy again.
I am a wine newbie. This was my first foray into pinot noir, as I'm usually a cabernet guy. I found this wine thinner and more alcoholic than I'm used to. At first, it had a strange aftertaste, but that quickly dissipated. It's got a decent bite with a slight puckering sensation in the mouth.
