Formidable tannins coupled with delightful aromatics make this a winner in my book. Hefty and juicy, this is a wine that does well with our without a meal. A great alternative to traditional varietals.
A total "strictly business" Bordeaux blend. It's got all the components of a great wine but could use more time to integrate. Looking forward to tasting again.
5 stars all the way! I get deep red rose petals and then classic cabernet fruit and structure. This is a racehorse all the way. Sleek, strong and awesome. I'm not only going to try this one again, but I would like to try some of their other bottlings. I'm a fan.

Totally sublime. Zinging acidity against backdrop of lime. This is my favorite wine of the year so far. Serioiusly good.
Solid 4 star wine for the price. Elegant and complex with a nice long finish. The cool climate blue fruit is very appealing It's a good one.
Such a warm and inviting nose on this one. The best Rioja at this price point that I've tasted so far this year. Rich, grippy tannins and nice long finish. A very good value. I'd buy again.
Irresistible. Rasberry infused chocolate pervades the nose. Supple, graceful, and complex. 'Nuff said.
I can't think of a better wine for $$. Fabulous black fruit and velvety tannins made this a great pairing for spicy chicken tacos. Everyone at the table loved it - no easy feat!
Exceptional for the price! I'm giving it 3 stars because I reserve 5 stars for my bucket list picks and 4 stars for my outstanding wine picks. This is an extremley good Sauvignon Blanc and a great deal for the price. It overperforms and refuses to be overstated. This is not like New Zealand SB (meaning no huge grapefruit here), instead you'll find hints of all things citrus, a lovely light body and a refreshing profile. I think the winemaker's notes on this one are spot-on.
Best kept secret of the wine world? Portugal! Undervalued and overshadowed by it's more famous neighbors, Portuguese wines are always struggling to earn some respect (picture Rodney Dangerfield looking bug-eyed and incredulous). Well, I love you Portugal and this wine is the perfect example of why. 2009 Tinto is lively, juicy, savory and chalk full of sexy tannins. It's a complete wine and completely integrated, so don't be afraid to drink this now. This is a winemaker to watch. Vallado is always at the top of the rating charts, no matter what the vintage.
