The 2004 Quilceda Creek is a prime Cabernet no doubt. Nose of flowers, black and blue fruit and cedar. Taste of black fruits and some well integrated oak with spice. Sweet well balanced tannins. Huge long finish. My experience has been QC's flagship cabs drink well young, near release, or after 9 or more years of bottle time. ie. Had one 2010 this week and next in 7 yrs.

I really like this cab. Good nose of blue fruit with a hint of leather. Taste of blueberry and chocolate with hints of pipe tobacco and toasty oak. Smooth and a bit dry. Good finish and a good deal. A lot of flavor.

Pinot for a Cab lover like me. It has a nice full dark berry flavor with the spice of a typical Pinot seamlessly blended. Taste out of it's price point. Pairs well with Turkey, Ribs, and Pork loin cutlets. Very nice.

My second foray into 10 yr. plus wines. The nose is subtle yet still fruity with leather and spice compliments. On the palate so smooth and complex. The blackberry, current, oak, tobacco, etc. flavors are completely integrated. Wonderful mouth feel. A wine to absolutely savor. Had this with a perfectly grilled Ribeye. So good. Best wines for me to date are this and a '96 Robert Mondavi PR. Aging works when done right.

Intense best describes this Caymus Special. Fruit on the nose is plum and dark cherry plus.. Just fills the room, so nice. Drinking this you have such a big intense flavor with no hard edges. Great mouth feel and the strong finish lingers. Definitely a candidate for aging but supple enough to drink now. That's why I bought two.
