This is what I expect out of a $25 bottle. Let this wine breathe for 30+ minutes before enjoying it. The nose begins beautifully and interestingly (tobacco?) and then develops into a good example of a bordeaux blend. Deep, ripe berries, juicy plum and a hint of chocolate balance this wine nicely with the tannins. Expect a long finish of ripe blackberry. What I like best about this wine is that it doesn't 'need' food to be paired with, but it also works very well with food. It worked great with Chicken Scallopine and fresh pasta with garlic and olive oil

This is on par with a typical $15 Cab Sauv. The wine is balanced fairly well but does not drink well alone...it needs food. I had it with braised shortribs and again with roast chicken and it held up. Without food, the finish comes across bitter; but with food there is a nice level of oak, plum and maybe some cedar back there.

This wine is a screwtop, and at first taste is nothing to write home about. let it breathe for 5 minutes and you begin tasting complexity in the wine. Another 5 and you get chocolates and tobacco. Another 5 and you get cloves/berries. and on and on and on. this is an intriguing wine because of its unique personality
