In preparation for choosing a French chardonnay to serve at an upcoming family party, we tasted this against a Louis Latour 2008 Pouilly-Fuisse and a couple of other brands. We liked the Pouilly-Fuisse slightly better, but this was a very close second. This bottle was very pleasant, clean, crisp and a great example of French chardonnay at around this affordable price point.
For me, this was one of those wines I tried, without alot of background knowledge, but with great anticipation, that turned out to be a great and pleasant experience. Paired with roasted rosemary chicken, what a meal this was. I agree with the other review, a glass of Rioja heaven.
One of the most beautiful chianti's I have had. The nose is amazingly pleasant with strong leather and dark fruits. Well balanced and smooth with an explosion of flavors in the mouth. Brilliant bottle overall!
screw cap wine
First tried this based on WS review and great price combo. This is a really great everyday Tuscan wine value. Re-Ordered several more bottles as this is now one of my new everyday reds. First experienced it along side a hearty Cuban pork dish, but would probably serve it with any hearty red meat or red sauce meal.
Tried this wine based on the WS review and was not disappointed in any way. The long silky finish is just lovely and seperates this wine from most Brunello's I have experienced. My wife may have said it best, "This was nothing short of s*x in a bottle". I have bought more to be able to enjoy this great pleasure into the future.
After reading an article about Echezeaux and the surrounding areas, I was drawn to this bottle to try. Very wonderful, with bold fruit and a dry finish. The wine evolved over the period of drinking and created new experiences each time. We enjoyed this very much.
