    Punto Final Malbec Classico 2012
    Sold Out $12.99
    2013 vintage available for $12.99
    Style: Smooth & Supple
A pleasant medium bodied every day drinking wine with rounded tannins. Smooth. Not as much depth in terms of fruit, (slightly flat for this varietal) but I did note aromas of dark cherries and dark brown sugar. Casual and a good value, I would recommend this if you were new to Malbecs, very approachable.

    Di Majo Norante Sangiovese 2011
    Sold Out $11.99
    2013 vintage available for $11.99
    Style: Earth & Spicy
I would give this 3.5 if I could. I found this was a unremarkable example of the varietal. Not only did it seem a bit watery/bland, but it had a distinctly bitter olive finish for me that I could not get past. The mouthfeel of the wine improved with aeration but the finish was not to my taste.

    Bodegas Volver Tarima 2012
    Sold Out $10.99
    2013 vintage available for $8.99
    Style: Earth & Spicy
I would say this wine was decent but did not really make an impression on me. There was an earthiness with darker concentrated fruit present but a rough finish.

Melville Sta. Rita Hills Estate Pinot Noir 2011
    Sold Out $35.99
    Style: Smooth & Supple
An excellent example of a bold, yet balanced California Coastal Pinot noir. Slightly concentrated medium red fruit, velvety and smooth. Not a light Pinot in taste or texture, but with an elegant, brief finish.

    The Seeker Malbec 2011
    Sold Out $15.99
    Style: Earth & Spicy
Rich and powerful with a dark berry fruit. Some aromas of (extra) dark chocolate and spice. I would recommend this with heavier & spicy meats. I accidentally left the wine uncorked overnight and still found the wine to be full bodied and interesting. I would say this wine is an excellent value. I am only giving it 4 stars because I found the finish to be slightly rough, even after decanting.

    Falesco Merlot Umbria 2010
    Sold Out $11.99
    2011 vintage available for $15.99
    Style: Earth & Spicy
Not as soft or smooth as I would have expected, and a bit too herbal/tannic for my taste.

    Borsao Tinto 2012
    Sold Out $8.99
    2013 vintage available for $8.99
    Style: Smooth & Supple
This wine was medium bodied to me, flexible in its appeal (black cherry, slight smokiness), and for the price an excellent value. I would buy more for a dinner party or large group....but i would not necessarily purchase it as an everyday drinking wine as it lacked depth to me.

    Atalaya Laya 2012
    Sold Out $10.99
    2013 vintage available for $8.99
    Style: Big & Bold
This wine was difficult for me to rate, as the intensity of flavor was so unexpected. If I had tasted this blindly, I would have thought it was an expensive Sonoma Zinfandel... Dark chocolate, espresso and overripe blue/black fruit are intense with an almost overly smoky/oaky nose. I do enjoy this wine but it truly does not taste like it is in the Grenache/Garnacha family. I had it with some cinnamon sugar toast and a piece of chocolate. It would definitely overpower a white meat of any sort. I would like to try it with a mole or curry though! The only component that does not remind me of a Zinfandel is the fact I noticed the legs were not as defined. Definitely worth trying at this price!
