More like a 3.5, Terra Rosa is an affordable bottle representative of Mendoza malbecs.
Deep, dark red hue with aroma of dark fruit preserves, cinnamon, spices, and hint of oak; powerful flavors of juicy plums
This fresh, dry, and robustly-flavored red is appropriately tannic, resulting in a peppery finish that lingers on the tongue for a while. Intense taste of red fruits can come across as strong sometimes, so it should be paired with savory dishes like tomato-sauce pasta, red meats, and savory cheeses.
This gentle Cabernet Sauvignon blend has an aroma of moist earth and mossy oak and tastes of cherries and a little bit of cinnamon with a spicy finish.
Light-bodied and acidic, with a cider-like aftertaste, the bottle might taste better with another year as the tannins help it mellow out some so you can taste the flavors more.
Fruity and juicy red with medium body and lingering finish; hints of mineral; a decent house wine.
A light-bodied Spanish red blend that is a tad too acidic and unbalanced for my taste. There is a lingering, jalapeño-spicy finish.
Much improved from 2006, the Smoking Loon Syrah 2007 is easy to drink with a medium body. A spicy aroma with hints of plum is followed by robust and fruity flavors of raspberry, currants, and plum, with a bit of red peppers, herbs, and oak. Great for pairing with dishes with savory sauces and gravy, as the strong flavor and hints of spice can punch through without overpowering the palate.
A good pinot for the price, but it definitely needs to breathe for a while before this light-bodied, slightly spicy red reaches its full potential.
This blend of garnacha and tempranillo has a robust initial flavor with a soft but slightly peppery finish.
