More expensive an no better than the Di Majo NOrante
A very nice everyday Cabernet for a reasonable price. The blending of the two vines produces a wine better than either could be on it's own.
I rate it a 4 star mainly for the price to value ratio. It really does have to be decanted and sit for an hour or two for the best flavor to come out. I didn't care for it right out of the bottle after openng. It was pinched and tight and lacked the full panoply of flavor I look for in a good Cabernet. After leaving it for two hours it was much fuller and smooth with just the right tannins.
True Pinot varietal, smooth lingering pleasant finish, opens up quickly after decanting.
