This was disappointing. It simply was too one dimensional and light.
Fruit forward and juicy with sweet dark berry flavors. I can't put my finger on it but the mid-palate taste somewhat disjointed to me. There is a nice finish. I will cellar my other bottle for a year or so. Maybe it will get better.
Very dark purple in the glass. Has a nice nose of dark fruit, a full body, somewhat dry with good acidity and noticeable tannins. Taste of dark fruit, vanilla, and hints of chocolate. Has a fairly long finish. Needs to breathe for 30-45 minutes at least.
Wonderful nose of red plums, blueberries and cassis. On the palate there is not a lot of depth, and the finish isn't very long. A reasonable smooth tasting red table wine but have had much better in this price range.
Nice Napa cab for the money. Somewhat spicy on the palette with lots of gorgeous fruit and a nice smooth medium length finish.
I liked it at $25 and love it at $20. Flavorful, full bodied and good for many occasions. It's a nice well balanced red that I would recommend to anyone. I do recommend letting it breathe for 30-40 minutes at least. It opens up over time.
I was suprised by this wine it is very tasty and smooth, before I realized it, I had polished off the whole bottle.
A bit light on the nose, but the palate has a smooth mouth feel with a long if slightly tart finish. Has red fruits, lots of earth and spice, and balanced. Nice acidity that matches up well with food.
Very fruit forward and almost over the top. After tasting this wine several times this is my least favorite Layer Cake varietal.
Nice nose, lots of juicy fruit, and very smooth finish.
