Biography:
I live in Montana, so really good wine is hard to come by. But there are a few places that you can find great bottles. My first taste of wine was from a box (the only wine my parents really drank, if they drank wine at all). I remember the distinct flavor of peaches and I became curious about how something not made of peaches could taste like them; I was hooked. I love reading about wine. I have read "The Wine Bible" by Karen MacNeil, "Introducing Wine" and "Grapes & Wines" by Oz Clarke, "The World Atlas of Wine" by Johnson/Robinson, and "Wine: For Dummies" and "French Wine: For Dummies" and still have a full bookshelf of books to read.
What I like about wine:

I love everything about wine! I love drinking and savoring it, but what I love more is learning about how it is made and where it comes from. I enjoy reading about where and how wines are made, and then drinking those wines.

Being a fan of Beaujolais-Villages, I found this wine to be a deeper, more interesting expression of gamay. It even had hints of the flavors of cabernet sauvignon (esp currants) while still expressing the bright cherry flavors of a Beaujolais. Great pairing with pork!

What an amazing wine! In true Alsatian fashion, I was expecting a dry wine, but it was not. The sweetness was balanced by the acidity perfectly and the unique fruit flavors were able to shine through. I loved the smoky, mineral characteristics of this wine as well. A gem and and an excellent value, this is a perfect introductory wine into the Grand Crus of Alsace. I will enjoy this wine again!

I was so excited when I found this wine, but not so excited after I tasted it. I could tell there was supposed to be fruit flavors, but they were too weak to come through over the blandness. I'm glad I tried it, but it was not what I expected.
