I am a 28 year-old Marine Corps Sergeant and a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. My first love/vice has always been fine cigars, since I was 18; but I took an interest in wine about 2 years ago. I am just now starting to seriously delve into the intricacies and beauty of oenophilia. I have traveled to Europe, the Middle East, and the several other destinations, but I look forward to revisiting with the intention of indulging in each area's respective wine culture.
I prefer Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and if I had to pick a non-domestic region as a favorite, I would choose Bordeaux. I enjoy very full-bodied, tannic reds that are long on the palate and have a nose of blackcurrant and dark berries.
