I would like to tell everyone that I'm from Australia and I work in the wine industry over here. I love cool climate wines such as Pinots and Chardonnays. I was very fortunate to work the 2002 harvest at Williams and Selyem winery in the Russian River Valley. That was an absolutely awesome experience. I now manage a winery that is apart of Melbourne University's Winemaking and Viticulture program. This allows me to work with students, lectures and contract growers that help teach people that finer art of winemaking. As Well as working here in Australia I also have involvement with a ultra premium brand called Labyrinth. This brand is owned by Ariki Hill, a New Zealander, who lives in the US and is a married to another ultra premium producer called Lane Tanner. Ariki makes high end Pinot Noir out of the Santa Maria County. He takes Pinot out of many Vineyards including the famous Bien Nacido. Ariki also has a Pinot program out of Australia. He produces Pinot from two Vineyards in the Yarra Valley. Valley Farm Vineyard and Viggers Vineyard. My role in Australia is that of an Assistant Winemaker. I am very honoured to be working with a talented and passionate guy like Ariki. www.labyrinthwine.com
