I have been into wine since working at a wine shop while going to College. I have collected off and on. I enjoy California wines more than European wines. I believe we live near the best wine terroir, and should support our fine wines. I have been to countless wine tastings (double blind) where a california Cab had just clobbered a Grande or Premier Cru french Cab blend, such as Chateau Margeaux, Palmer, Lafite Rothchilde, etc.... But California wineries are becoming too expensive in for the average enthusiast, in particular, Cabernet, and Cab blends. That is why I have moved to other varietals. I still love a good Cab. I will still buy them if the price is reasonable.
It is wonderful. I love it with a fine meal. But I also love wine with conversation, and finger foods.
