I had come from IT a totally different environment especially after a successful 25 years career. Having fun running a direct digital marketing, promoting auctions and having a positive cash flow! I wonder how many investors are rewarded financially comparative to a stock market investment or more precisely in a commodity Chicago Board of Trade. I know for a fact some British major merchants who are offering a managed "mutual" fund or a cost averaging of small amounts like $50 month that is deducted automatically from a checking account keeping the fees low. I guess at the end of a day, or "the rainy day scenario" a wine investor is not left at least with a worthless piece of a stock certificate! And, on top of all it's real fun!i have invested in portfolio management of vintage years and I'm in process of setting up my private cellar. Many do not understand that making money in wine is extremely hard requiring unconditional devotion and willingness to spend on the hidden cost quite significant sums of money and to make the things worst wine is extremely sensitive and perishable commodity having also a limited shelf life.
It's a precious commodity that had proved over the centuries its resilience ual only to gold. I do not stop wondering why and how much people of different backgrounds treasure it.
