I live on long island, in ny. Here on the island the vineyards have increased substantially over the past 15 years. I love visiting all the different vineyards, spend a Saturday or Sunday, visiting, sampling the local wines and comparing and noting the differences between vineyards. I also like to garden, hike, do arts and crafts, I enjoy reading a good book, hanging out with my dogs, two standard poodles, and enjoying my family. My sisters also enjoy wine. I find some of my best weekends are spent enjoying the day at the Winerys with my daughters. My husband and I enjoy vegging on the deck, or taking long walks on the beach, or in the hiking trails, we have hundreds of miles of trails on long island, and eastern long island, where we live, is just beautiful. Between the oceans, the vineyards and trails, its a great place to live.
I like a smooth and supple wine. I do get a craving for a bolder wine, like a zinfedal, or a big cab. I love the fruit, the taste and feel. I also enjoy sharing a good bottle with a good friend, or a new friend, and especially with my daughters. Love it!
