Biography:
I love red wine and am always interested in trying something new. My favorite red wines are Pinot Noirs, Bordeaux blends from Saint Emilion, Tempranillos and Zinfandel wines from Dry Creek Valley.
What I like about wine:

I like the variety of wines, specifically red wines. There are so many different regions, so its fun to taste the same variety from different regions and determine how it is the same or different.

This is a light, but sophisticated Pinot Noir. This is another wine served at a wine party and everyone loved it. It was a little lighter than I expected, but great fruit flavors with hints of oak. It is a great Burgundy wine to try to understand the difference between French and California Pinot Noirs.

Luigi Einaudi Dolcetto di Dogliani 2009

This is a smooth, medium bodied Dolcetto from Italy. It is a great wine to start with if you haven't tried a red from Piedmont before. It has a nice balance of fruit flavors and light enough that it is not too overwhelming. I was pleasantly surprised by this wine.
