I grew up in a very religious household that considered alcoholic drink of any sort totally taboo. This of course included wine. However, as an adult I began to experiment with EVERYTHING, except wine. I take that back, my one experience with wine was in my early twenties and it was unbelievably dry. For that reason, I developed an instant disdain towards the grape. Fortunately, I gave it another shot in my late thirties and was instantly hooked. While still a complete novice, I have developed a taste for Napa Cabs and Argentinian Malbecs. Ultimately, I crave an education. I want to make wise purchases and learn to enjoy wine properly. Right now I'm all over the board with my purchases, relying mostly on point ratings. My hope is to get plugged into the community and share my experiences with the diverse stuff that I buy (mostly on sale) while benefiting from my more experienced friends to gently guide me towards better selections. I look forward to meeting you!
I love the color of wine as the sun shines through the base of the bowl....The way the bouquet changes throughout the course of a meal remains an enchanting wonder. Lastly, I love the company I share the experience with.
