A true mess of a wine. Color looks like earth, and tastes like it too. Unlike other Carmeneres, this one (in my opinion) lacks the flavorful bouquet, the fruitful taste, or a smooth finish. For the price, $20+, there are better options, and definitely better Carmeneres out there. This one is barely meeting the cooking wine category in my book.
Fantastic aroma and color. Full, bold taste that fills your mouth with sensations, then is sucked dry by a smooth finish. Great bold red, but would reserve for a big steak or other hearty red meat. I think it would overpower anything less. 14% ALC maybe a bit overboard, but it is balanced well enough. Well worth the price. Go for it.
Great color, average aroma, bland taste, dead/dry finish. Wine.com reduced the price by $2 a bottle - so that tells you the truth. Average at best, and actually was a little better chilled up, but there are better choices at your local supermarket. (14.2%)
