Retired musician who loves great wine and foods of the world.
Having Musically Rocked into some of the worlds most beautiful countries, I have always made sure of partaking splendidly in abundance; wines and foods!
Europe for me has always been very special, and especially providing the above in great varieties.
My favorite little part of the world is no doubt Aix-en-Provence (France) Gorgeous little wine caves producing some of the most delicious nectar they gather every year in small batches. Excellent small wines we pay crazy money for here in the US.
More than likely the best Rose's in the world are produced here, and especially on a consistent basis.
Now not be out done, down the road is the Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas wine producers. Which again for me one of the best wines in the world...
You just can't go wrong in the Provence area.
Lets not forget the everyday peasant foods with its herbs de Provence to make your wine dance a little better with your foods.
Also its little village feel throughout is very nostalgic, which I love as it brings you down back to earth reminding you life was once prior to the hurry world we live in today...
Spending time with elders at a small village cafe over a glass of wine for me, it's a little taste of what heaven will be.
This area could be a big reason why so many of the Masters/Painters were so attracted to it also...
I may retire completely there one day, my only problem is I love this country of ours so!
I will answer with a Question: Why is it called the "Nectar Of The Gods" ?
