Collected wines in the 1980's, but the prices in the late 1990's shocked me into stopping. Now, by using wine-sites like this one, I'll try to find a deal or two. Disabled/retired, I like the finer things in life... fine dining, nice cars, healthy living, etc., etc. I can't believe how wine prices have gotten so high, it's just grape juice. I remember buying a "Chateau Petrus" 1988 in 1990 for $99.00 and now it's hundreds of $. First growths are thousands of $ for a bottle, pitiful! I refuse to buy a bottle over $20.00 and have a great collection doing so. I wish everyone would do the same and send a message to the greedy people, but the rich won't.
History, natural, grapes, taste, healthy, pairing with food. The process of seed to bottle.
