Smooth & Supple
Oak overtones compliment this rich yet smooth cab. To make my review as simplistic as possible (and because I am not good at describing wines using the traditional notes) this wine was as close to the 2007 Caymus Napa cabernet that I have tried so far. I think I'm going to start calling it my girl-on-a-budget-Caymus. Loved it!
I bought the 2006 cab on a recommendation by the store clerk. He described it as a classic cab, to be compared to Artemis. Without decanting this wine, it was heads and tails above Artemis, and I'll be honest here, it was better than Caymus' Special Selection. This, of course is just my opinion!! Some will disagree. But I got this wonderful cab for less than $40.00!! So in my opinion, that makes it an even better experience.
I was looking for an inexpensive zin that I could pick up in my local grocery store so I bought this one. The longer it sat in the glass, the better it got. It's missing a little heat up front, which I absolutely love in a good zin, but that's OK since I only paid $9.00 for the bottle.
