Red is always the way to go. I have never had a great glass of white. Most white wines I lump into bad or just drinkable. I really don't know how to describe it. They just don't sit right with me. I guess my body tells me too much sweetness.
For the same reason I like craft beers. The diversity is what I like about wine.
