I drink mostly reds from the Willamette valley in Oregon, the Columbia and Yakima regions in Washington, and the Anderson valley in California. My wife drinks mostly sparkling wines from the Anderson valley in CA. I am trying to get up to speed on more Italian wines, but keeping track of all the new wines in the regions I already follow is quite a bit of work! Washington wine makers are just starting to make some really good red wines. Check out the 2005 DeLille and Woodward Canyon wines. Simply fantastic wines in a good year for Washington!
I like big, round wines! Not much for thin or overly tanic wines. Not a big fan of anything with residual sugar over 3%! (Sorry late harvest Reisling fans...)
