I've brokered several vineyard transactions on the North Fork of Long Island (yes, some of it is drinkable!). I have an open mind when it comes to wine and love trying new ones. Just returned from the South of France where I enjoyed the local wines immensely. Also enjoy serious pairings at Taillevent, the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, NY, tastings in Napa........
I like the ritual of drinking wine. The fact that the character of a wine is the end result of so many variables, some of which are the unpredictable whim of nature.
