Nice aromas of creme de cassis and full bodied with well balanced tannins. Blackberry, blueberry and herbal flavors. Love this wine and this price.
The 2004 Quilceda Creek is a prime Cabernet no doubt. Nose of flowers, black and blue fruit and cedar. Taste of black fruits and some well integrated oak with spice. Sweet well balanced tannins. Huge long finish. My experience has been QC's flagship cabs drink well young, near release, or after 9 or more years of bottle time. ie. Had one 2010 this week and next in 7 yrs.
4 stars at this price point. The typical Catena style Malbec, with nose and taste of blackberries and black pepper. Medium body with a little grip on the palate. Easy drinking.
