Oregon Pinot Noir selections
Better than the '08? Adelsheim Elizabeth's Reserve is the wine that turned me onto Oregon Pinot Noir back in the '90s and although the '08 is highly rated, I have a hard time believing it eclipses the 2002.
The star of the 2008 Willamette Valley vintage by most expert's opinion; have not tried it myself, but the 2002 is unbelievable.
Classic Oregon Pinot done v. well, incredible balance between fruit and oak and grape tannins. Rex Hill Willamette Valley offerings are extremely consistent from year to year. My recommendation if you can find it.
The wines released on the Adelsheim "house" label tend to be more fruit-forward than the Elizabeth's Reserve selections. An excellent wine at a non-reserve price. If you can't get the Rex Hill ...
A complex wine, more to the earthy end of the Pinot spectrum. Raptor Ridge wines suffer from inconsistency between vintages IMO, but this is one of the better ones.
Not nearly the 2006, but a bit of a bargain at under $20.00
Some of the 90's vintages were pretty decent but there were also some clunkers; haven't tried this one for awhile, but it's worth a revisit.
