Best Napa big reds: some pricey some great values...I removed some of the values because as you can tell a lot of them are selling out!
Of the upper tier Cabs, I would go with this over Silver Oak, Stag's, Caymus. Absolutely terrific. I was lucky enough to have a glass of this and only wished I was affluent enough to buy a bottle to keep for a while. Truly a great American wine!
Probably my favorite wine and not too pricey!
Great Cab at a mid-level price
Beringer may have a split personality when it comes to wines. The cheaper supermarket ones are good in good years and shotty in iffy years. But their higher end wines are very good year after year. Ed Sbragia (Beringer Winemaster Guru!) does a terrific job and they are lucky to have him!
Not a top tier name but Rutherford Hill does well to produce top tier wines at a mid-range price.
