8.3 from Reverse Wine Snob. Black cherry and cola on the nose, followed by raspberry notes with a bit of pepper and heat. Slightly dry and a very smooth finish that lingers nicely. I can see this being a wine that some will like more than others, but it definitely struck all the right notes for me. Bulk Buy!
7.3 Reverse Wine Snot. notes of plum and cherries and is a very smooth, very drinkable, very nice Malbec. There's even a little bit of spice on the finish, although it does end a bit abruptly. It even got a little better on day 2.
8 rating on Reverse Wine Snob. The 2009 d'Arenberg The Stump Jump Red exhibits strong aromas of plum, ripe fruit, and a little spice. The wine is very smooth with tastes of dark fruit, blackberry, and dried herbs. The medium-long finish shows the sharp edge when the spicy tannins come through, which I liked quite a bit. The wine was even a little better on day 2 so give it some time to breathe. This wine should find a spot in the next iteration of the Top 10 list.
8 rating from Reverse Wine Snob. begins with strong, pleasant aromas of citrus zest and tropical fruit. A very inviting bouquet. The wine tastes excellent with ripe and juicy fruit, primarily citrus (lemon, lime, orange) as well as a bit of honey and a touch of almond. This wine did not see any oak, and so the fruit really comes though first and foremost, much to our benefit. It also features a lively mouthfeel with crisp, fresh and good acidity
8 rating on Reverse Wine Snob. was excellent. Sweet blackberries and a little chocolate and pepper on the nose. The palate showed blackberries and even a bit of mocha. There's some oak coming through but not overpowering at all. Nice tannins and a dry finish. This is fairly sweet wine, but doesn't cross the line. Overall, just a really nicely balanced, full bodied, drinkable wine. We quite enjoyed it quite a bit and recommend you check it out! Definitely a wine that will find a spot in the next update of the Top 10 list.
Kelly Fave. We had it on 4/21 with pizza dinner and it was smooth but spicy. I liked it very much. On par with J.Lohr.
Reverse Wine Snob Rated the 2009 a 10! He loved this one. This is the first wine I've reviewed to get a perfect 10 on my Taste rating. In fact, I was getting worried that I needed to redo my scoring and move everything up one point since the site is now over one year old and I still hadn't rated anything over a 9! Not anymore. This means, quite literally, that this wine is in a class all by itself. And even better, Andrew Murray Vineyards is currently running a free shipping offer through 4/30 on purchases of 6 bottles or more in their store. Since shipping is usually a deal killer when ordering wine online this is a fabulous deal. Do like I did after tasting this wine and order a whole case and you'll save an extra 10% as well. Cheers!
We had the 2010 Organic Viognier and it was excellent. Worth the price. Sandy would buy again.
