What a lovely wine this is. Every time is a pleasant surprise. It is one of my new favorite reds. The bite is smooth and complimentary to most foods. The salt of prosciutto, olives, fondue with cornichons- all examples of how well this wine brings out the flavors of great foods.

Very fruity, rich, and so dark it's almost brownish-purple, this wine goes great with dark chocolate. We had it with Valrhona 71% cocoa. I'm guessing it handles steak well, too.

We met Robert Kamen at a wine tasting here in Ohio, and weren't sure what we were getting into. But five years later, we opened his bottle along with a 2003 Chateua Montelena and a 1992 Grgich Hills. All Cabernet Sauvignon. We all agree, that the Kamen wins! It is fuller, with more body -- not yet as smooth in some aspects as the Grgich, but richer -- definitely more full bodied. I would recommend this wine to everyone who likes a full but smooth tasting Cab Sav.

I was turned on to this wine about three weeks ago, and I can't get enough of it. It has a nice, fine line between subtleness and complexity. Good fruit and floral nose up-front but not a "fruit bomb" of a wine as some cabernet's can be. Great mid palate, and smooth, long finish. I get a bit of cocoa on the finish which I find to be great. Stands up well to food or a great "sipping" wine as well. I recommend this wine highly, especially for the price range!
