Intense red fruit aromas, blackberries, morello and plums. Notes of quince and fruit compote. With tobacco, leather and chocolate notes from oak aging. Well balanced with unctuous and fine tannins. Great structure and long finish. The Zuccardi family makes Tempranillo.
At the foot of the Andes Mountains, in the vast desert province of Mendoza sits Familia Zuccardi, Argentina's largest family-owned winery and one of the leading exporters of Argentine wines. In the U.S., two lines of Familia Zuccardi wines are available: Santa Julia and Familia Zuccardi "Q".
This wine was recommended to me by my Argentine friends and I haven't been disappointed. Nice black cherry and supple with round moth-feel and complexity. It's a steal at under $15.
Lots of fruit - black cherry
