Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Zuccardi Q Malbec 2008, is the blend of two unique vineyard sites. It shows dark, violet color with shades of black. The wine offers great floral aromas with rich, ripe blackberry tones. It has concentrated flavors and a soft texture. Ripe plum and chocolate notes melted with blackcurrant and cassis tones displaying excellent balance and freshness. It has a persistent and velvety finish.

I like Malbecs so am a little biased toward one of this quality for this price. This opened up very nice in the bottle after 10-15 minutes.
